How To Watch UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball

A closer look at UConn women’s basketball

Winning a 12th national title last season was a crowning achievement. Now, UConn must face the 2025–2026 season with different players in the spotlight. While Paige Bueckers has moved on to collect her WNBA Rookie of the Year honors, this Huskies squad is a team defined by its depth and returning star power, not just a single player.

The roster, now led by sophomore superstar Sarah Strong, may be one of the deepest Geno Auriemma has ever had. We get a healthy Azzi Fudd back for her graduate year, as well as the returns of Jana El Alfy and Ayanna Patterson. Plus, the “Great Wall of UConn” is forming with Strong and Wisconsin transfer Serah Williams, creating the thrilling “problem” of choosing a starting five.

This reinvigorated roster comes with a new-look—and frankly, complicated—media rights deal. For longtime fans, the biggest change is that SNY is no longer the team’s broadcast partner. Following the Huskies this year means navigating a massive web of channels, including FOX, FS1, ESPN, TNT, and truTV, as well as the must-have streaming service Peacock. I’ve sorted through all the fine print, and this guide will show you exactly how to watch UConn women’s basketball on TV all season.

2025–2026 UConn women’s basketball TV schedule

The Huskies don’t get to ease into their title defense. The season tips off on November 4 against Louisville at the Armed Forces Classic in Germany, airing on ESPN. Then comes the home opener on November 9 against Florida State on FS1. But I’ve got my eye on some of the marquee battles on FOX: the Hall of Fame Showcase vs. Michigan (Nov. 21), the massive Women’s Champions Classic showdown with Iowa (Dec. 20), and the classic rivalry games against Notre Dame (Jan. 19) and Tennessee (Feb. 1).

The regular season wraps on March 1 against St. John’s, leading directly into the 2026 Big East Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena. Check out the full 2025–2026 UConn women’s basketball schedule in the table below. I’ll keep things updated as the season progresses.

Best TV plans for watching UConn women’s basketball

Okay, let’s break down this new Big East media deal because it’s a lot. To get every UConn Huskies game, you need access to three groups of channels (ESPN, FOX Sports, TNT Sports) and the streaming service Peacock.

My top recommendation for the most complete, streamlined setup is Hulu + Live TV. Its base plan includes your local FOX station alongside FS1, ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, and truTV. Crucially, the Hulu + Live TV plan also includes ESPN+ and Disney+ at no extra charge. ESPN+ is where you’ll find several Big East conference games this season, perfect for eyeing the competition.

With that Hulu bundle as your foundation, you’ll then need a standalone Peacock Premium subscription for select exclusives, including the entire Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament. For fans who may not have access to high-speed internet, a traditional cable or satellite plan (like DIRECTV) will also get you all the core national channels. But you’ll still need to subscribe to Peacock on the side.

How to watch UConn women’s basketball FAQ

Where can I watch UConn women's basketball for free?

You can watch some of the Huskies' biggest games for free with an over-the-air (OTA) antenna. Any game broadcast on your local FOX affiliate—like the matchups against Iowa, Notre Dame, and Tennessee—will be available. For everything else, you'll need a paid TV or streaming subscription.

How can I stream UConn basketball without cable?

For Huskies fans without cable, your best alternative is a live TV streaming service like Hulu + Live TV. That'll get you all the traditional college basketball channels, like FOX, FS1, ESPN, TNT, and truTV. You'll then need a separate Peacock Premium subscription for its streaming exclusives.

Can I watch UConn basketball on Peacock?

Yes, a Peacock Premium subscription is essential for any serious Huskies fan. Peacock will exclusively stream 25 regular-season Big East games, including seven of UConn's 2025–2026 matchups. Most importantly, Peacock is the only place to watch all 10 games of the 2026 Big East Women's Basketball Tournament.

Why are UConn games on so many different channels this year?

It's all part of the new six-year Big East media rights deal. The conference spread its games across multiple partners, including FOX Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports, and TNT Sports, to increase national exposure. This change also means UConn's longtime regional TV home, SNY, is no longer broadcasting games, so fans now need to tune into this new mix of channels and streaming platforms.
