Frontier Internet stopped selling TV service and is now the sole internet provider to offer official YouTube TV bundles. There’s only one catch: You must live in the Frontier Internet service area and have had no previous YouTube TV experience (not even a free trial).

If you can’t get Frontier Internet, don’t sweat it. YouTube TV—our favorite live TV streaming service—is available almost anywhere. You can probably find a deal comparable to Frontier bundles locally, but you’ll have to subscribe to them separately.

See how we rank. We run a yearly survey of internet, TV, and streaming service customers, plus several of our editors have extensive hands-on experience with YouTube TV. We ranked both Frontier and YouTube TV on four essential criteria:

  • Bang for your buck
  • User experience
  • Features
  • Customer satisfaction

Frontier’s fiber bundles with YouTube TV start with Frontier Fiber Internet 500 with YouTube TV ($112.98 monthly), which has 500Mbps, no data caps, over 100 channels, and unlimited cloud DVR. That plan will work for most people, but larger households and power users will want one of the faster plans.

On the TV tip, YouTube TV is our perennial favorite live TV streaming service—a key reason we say Frontier’s YouTube TV bundles beat traditional TV provider bundles. Streaming TV is simpler and more flexible, with no contracts, no fees, and no cable box requirement.

Plus, you can enjoy over 100 popular channels and free unlimited cloud DVR with YouTube TV.

Pro tip: YouTube TV free trials can be 7–21 days. The Frontier deal’s terms and conditions don’t define “standard free trial,” so assume it lasts seven days.

In Frontier’s DSL service area, there’s only one bundle: Frontier Internet with YouTube TV ($137.98 a month). Unfortunately, you’ll have to (enter your zip code) on the Frontier site to see available DSL speeds.

Swapping traditional TV for simpler, more flexible live TV streaming—and offering a built-in discount—already makes Frontier/YouTube TV bundles superior to almost any other internet-and-TV bundle.

How much of a discount, you ask? Well, it’s more about convenience than it is about savings.

When you bundle with Frontier, you’ll get $10 off of YouTube TV (which regularly costs $72.99 monthly) for 12 months. The bigger benefit of bundling is only worrying about one bill.

Frontier offers five bundles with YouTube TV. Depending on your location, you can get DSL internet (speeds depend on your location) or fiber-optic connections (500–5,000 Mbps). Fiber internet is super fast and has symmetrical upload speeds, so it’s the best internet type for performance and overall value. Here’s hoping you live in Frontier’s fiber zone.

What are customers saying about YouTube TV and Frontier Internet?

YouTube TV is a great choice for TV lovers, and it ranked third place in overall satisfaction among competitors in our 2024 user survey. However, Frontier didn’t live up to the hype, and placed 16th among its competitors. Frontier Internet isn’t the worst choice around, but it also doesn’t have the stellar record that YouTube TV does.

"It has all the channels we had before with cable but at a better price than cable."

YouTube TV customer in Missouri

"Not a good value for the speed I have. I began with Verizon fios about 10 years ago, price was low. It then became Frontier and they keep raising the rates while my speed stays low and they won't replace the 10 year old modem/router."

Bundle YouTube TV with other internet providers

If you can get WOW! internet service in your area, you can also get a $10 monthly discount when you bundle it with YouTube TV.

Or, if you have AT&T, Optimum, or Xfinity internet service where you live, all three providers have 500Mbps plans for $60.00–$70.00 a month, but you won’t get a bundle discount (womp, womp, womp).

With YouTube TV ($72.99 monthly, no discount), you’ll pay $133.00–$143.00 total. That’s around $20–$30 more than Frontier Fiber 500 ($112.98 monthly). So, hopefully, you live in Frontier’s area.

Pro tip: Frontier Internet serves 25 states, but its most significant presence is in California, Texas, Indiana, Florida, Alabama, and Arizona.
