The 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards are just around the corner. This year’s event is streaming live from Tokyo, Japan on May 23, 2026 at 4:00 a.m. ET.
Don’t worry, Western anime fans—you won’t have to miss a thing. The awards will be available to stream on YouTube and Crunchyroll any time after the fact, so you can catch every award on your own schedule. I’m particularly excited for the musical performances by DEAN FUJIOKA (“Yuri!!! on ICE”), Porno Graffiti (“My Hero Academia”), and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra (“Neon Genesis Evangelion”).

The 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards will air on Crunchyroll’s YouTube page and Twitch stream on May 23. It starts at 4:00 a.m. ET, which is a weird time for Americans because the ceremony actually takes place in Japan—and Crunchyroll takes its simulcasts very seriously.
Have a reasonable sleeping schedule? Understandable! You’ll be able to watch the Anime Awards on your own time both on YouTube and right on Crunchyroll itself.
