Now housed exclusively within the DAZN app, FIFA+ is a free streaming hub dedicated to die-hard soccer fans. It comes packed with thousands of live international matchups, full match replays from classic tournaments, and premium original documentaries. Whether you want to relive an iconic World Cup final or catch rising stars in an under-17 championship, the platform serves as the perfect free companion to your regular soccer TV setup.

While the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup dominate the global stage every four years, the scope of FIFA+ extends far beyond those quadrennial tournaments. In 2026, FIFA+ took a strategic leap forward by officially retiring its standalone app and relaunching its entire library on DAZN. Below, I’ve highlighted everything the newly integrated service offers and what devices are available for streaming.

Don't be caught offsides with the wrong streamer this World Cup

DIRECTV is the streaming service hooligans choose for football. According to CableTV.com's 2026 customer satisfaction survey, more fans (49%) watch soccer on DIRECTV than any other streaming service. That's more than rivals Fubo and YouTube TV. What's more, a staggering 97% of DIRECTV streaming subscribers reported satisfaction with their live sports experience. So, what are you waiting for? Hit the World Cup pitch this summer by streaming it on DIRECTV.

Is FIFA+ worth it?

All soccer fans should take advantage of the free FIFA+ content now hosted on DAZN. With its recent migration, you no longer have to deal with the old standalone app’s lackluster device compatibility. Now, anyone with a free DAZN account (or a linked FIFA ID) can instantly access thousands of live soccer games each month on almost any screen.

But live games aren’t even the best part of FIFA+. The streaming hub offers many high-quality series and documentaries covering topics ranging from grassroots stories to World Cup campaigns. There are also several great player profiles focusing on footballers like Dani Alves, Mohamed Salah, Sam Kerr, and Wendie Renard.

The FIFA Plus Home page features a navigation bar at the top, followed by a Countdown to Qatar 2022 banner and rows of on-demand video content.
The FIFA+ landing page highlights the latest video content and upcoming FIFA events, as seen on a Google Chrome browser.

FIFA+ content is available in over ten languages, including English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. With its move to DAZN, the platform benefits from an established streaming infrastructure that includes improved user navigation and a convenient schedule tab for tracking daily matches. There are even more features likely to roll out each year, building on FIFA’s mission to diversify its global media footprint.

Only one “plan” exists for FIFA+, and it’s completely free. You shouldn’t need a paid DAZN subscription to unlock the content — everything is available to everyone, save for any live matches restricted by location. That said, I did notice the “Discovering” documentary series carrying a lock symbol that prompted a DAZN plan upgrade. Since the rest of the FIFA+ library is fully accessible on the free tier, this is likely an error, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.

To start watching, visit the DAZN homepage and select “Sign Up.” You can register for a free account with an email address, or log in instantly with an existing FIFA ID, Apple, Facebook, or Google account. No credit card or payment information is required to access the free tier.

Once logged in, you can access all FIFA+ content directly within the DAZN interface. This setup provides a well-rounded experience that combines free global soccer with DAZN’s wider selection of free sports documentaries and weekly boxing build-up events.

FIFA+ content excels when it’s not restricted

For a free service, FIFA+ is packed with content. There are live matches, on-demand shows and documentaries, and full match replays from past FIFA competitions. I particularly love those archived games because there’s no other reliable place to watch complete men’s and women’s World Cup matches. What you’ll find on YouTube is pretty scattered.

You can also watch The Best FIFA Football Awards live on FIFA+. After all, who doesn’t love award shows that select the best individuals in a profession of thousands?

The FIFA Plus Live page displays rows of live games, match highlights, and a calendar of the current day’s matches.
FIFA+ features a wide variety of live games, paired with live stats and match report data.

Live games on FIFA+

As I’ve mentioned, FIFA+ hosts many live games each month. These range from FIFA-sanctioned tournaments to domestic league competitions — including men’s, women’s, and youth-level matches.

While FIFA+ promises over 40,000 live matches each year, those games are only accessible if they aren’t already broadcast by a FIFA media partner in your country. For example, U.S.-based viewers often find major tournament games restricted if they’re already being broadcast by FOX Sports.

Shows and documentaries on FIFA+

FIFA+ excels when it comes to its series and documentaries. The streaming service has such a wide range of on-demand content that it’s almost overwhelming. You can easily fall down the soccer rabbit hole by entering your favorite player’s name into the DAZN search box to bring up their archival footage.

Here’s a partial list of what kind of titles FIFA+ offers.

  • “2002: This Is an Asian Odyssey”
  • “Academies”
  • “Asia Stories”
  • “Creator Network”
  • “Dani Crazy Dream”
  • “Die Mannschaft”
  • “Discovering”
  • “Eyes of the World”
  • “The Girls of Favela Street”
  • “Gol de Cuba”
  • “The Hand of God”
  • “Ronaldinho: The Happiest Man in the World”
  • “Icons”
  • “Keane & Vieira: Best of Enemies”
  • “Mysteries of Football”
  • “Ultimate Goal”

FIFA+ specs and features

Because FIFA+ is free, you don’t have to worry about any account and streaming limitations like those on Netflix or Hulu. But even with the move to DAZN, some of the original platform’s navigational flaws carried over.

Most notably, there’s still no dedicated Watchlist feature to help you save content for later. Given DAZN’s status as a premium sports broadcaster, the continued absence of a basic “My List” option is a frustrating oversight when you’re trying to queue up various docuseries and sports films.

Video and audio quality

Video on FIFA+ streams at a maximum resolution of 1080p and comes paired with 2.0 stereo sound. Those are standard qualities for most free streaming services, though some are starting to dabble in 4K video. I’ve noticed most live games on FIFA+ stream at 720p, while the premium documentaries typically hit the full 1080p mark.

For the best streaming experience, you’ll want to make sure your internet connection speed is at least 5 Mbps. But you’ll want a more robust connection if you’re not the only device on the network. You can visit our Best Internet for Streaming guide for a closer look at the top-recommended internet services geared towards streaming.

FIFA+ compatible devices

Since its migration, FIFA+ is now available on any device that supports the DAZN app. This opens up compatibility to smart TVs, streaming sticks, and gaming consoles that were previously left out. Additionally, you can still watch the live 24/7 FIFA+ Channel on free, ad-supported platforms like Samsung TV Plus.
