Technically, Tubi has the biggest horror library of any streaming service—second only to Amazon Prime Video and its massive selection of video-on-demand (VOD) titles. But I prioritize curated subscription-based services—so Shudder still wins.
That being said, Tubi’s library of 9,000+ horror films and 200+ horror series is pretty massive, but its lack of curation means there’s an awful lot of trash horror (not the good trash, either). But that doesn’t mean you won’t find tons of the good stuff to watch. Tubi has:
- A massive horror library that’s quality-rich but also littered with trash
- Extreme horror/gore movies
- Many obscure titles
- No price tag (kinda)
Tubi is free because it’s ad-supported, which means you pay with your time. That adds around 15–25 minutes to each 90–120 minute movie. It’s worth it — especially if you’re on a tight budget, or you can’t find a particular film anywhere else.
My curated list of horror movies to watch on Tubi in October 2026 opens with the original 1978 “Faces of Death” (er, “Fakes of Death”) and end’s with Rob Zombie’s “Halloween.” The first themed weekend will mess you up for life with three seriously hard-to-watch movies. The second weekend is devoted to black horror, the third is ’80s slashers, and the fourth is cosmic horror. On the weekdays, you can look forward to horror classics and classics-in-waiting from the past six decades.
