Paramount+ is a luxury, not a necessity, for some sports fans. It’s a top on-demand streaming service for soccer (or fútbol) devotees, and it’s nice for sports fans who don’t have the CBS channel.
The app is easy to use. You’ll see which games are live now or today at the top, and the matches, shows, and game replays are organized by rows. And one thing they got right that not a lot of apps do: an intuitive channel guide.
So if you can watch a few NFL games, the last two important Master’s Tournament rounds, and NCAA basketball games to keep up on your bracket, Paramount+ comes in clutch.
Which sports can you stream on Paramount+?
With Paramount+, you can watch live soccer games, football matchups, and golf tournaments. This includes all NFL games aired on CBS, all Serie A matches, and the final two rounds of the Masters Tournament.
Here’s a list of the sports on Paramount+:
- AFC Champions League
- Argentina Liga Profesional de Fútbol
- Big Ten college football
- Brazil Campeonato Brasileirão Série A
- CONCACAF Nations League
- UEFA Champions League
- UEFA Europa League
- March Madness/NCAA basketball
- Masters Tournament
- NFL
- NWSL
- Serie A
- Women’s Super League
Paramount+ is a soccer fan’s dream because you can watch every single game of all of these leagues live on this streaming service. If you’re a Juventus or Angel City FC diehard, the $120 yearly subscription might not look so bad anymore.
Fans who don’t have access to the CBS channel or want to stream on the go can watch 300+ college basketball games, the last two rounds of the Masters Tournament, and the NWSL playoffs and championship games.
You can also stream all NFL games televised on CBS, so you’ll get one to two Sunday morning and afternoon games and at least one game per week during the playoffs.
Can you watch sports replays on Paramount+?
Paramount+ will have the full replay of a match, game, or tournament ready for you to watch after it’s aired—but this is not to be confused with the fact that you can also stream it live with Paramount+.
So, if you have to go to your kid’s basketball game during a crucial sporting event, avoid checking the score on your phone and stream it when you get home. And if you don’t have enough time for a full three-hour replay, Paramount+ serves up 8- to 15-minute highlight videos.
Which CBS sports TV shows can you watch on Paramount+?
Besides live games, Paramount+ is equipped with lots of sports-related on-demand content you can put on in the background while you work. And what better than sports talk shows that give you live updates?
Here’s a list of CBS Sports shows you can throw on to help make work go by faster:
- Morning Buzz
- What’s Trending Now AM
- Primetime Scoreboard
- Midday Rundown
- SportsLine Picks and Previews
- What’s Trending Now PM

Which Paramount+ plan is best for sports?
We’ll make a quick pass and tell you now that Paramount+ with SHOWTIME ($13 per month) is much more sports-friendly than Paramount+ Essential ($8).
Paramount+ with SHOWTIME gives you access to all of its live game coverage and on-demand content, including some 4K watching. All on-demand content has zero ads. Paramount+ Essential gives you select live sports, like the NFL and Champions League, no SHOWTIME sports content, and ads in your on-demand streaming.
And if you’re a massive fan of soccer, Paramount Original content, and CBS shows (among other networks like MTV and BET), it’s worth getting the annual subscription to save a few bucks.
