How hard is it to make the MLB playoffs when you play in the American League? Just ask the Seattle Mariners. Since 2001, they’ve had 11 winning seasons. Yet only one of those led to a playoff appearance.
But the Mariners managed to make 2025 a successful season and they’re continuing it in the postseason. They beat the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Divisional Series, and will face the Toronto Blue Jays in the Championship Series starting Sunday, October 12.
Even though the matchup and times of the ALDS are yet to be announced, I’ve put together a watch guide for this round of the playoffs and beyond with what we know so far. Keep checking back on this page as more information becomes available.

What channels have Seattle Mariners games?
ROOT SPORTS is the regional home for Seattle Mariners broadcasts in 2025. Apple TV+, ESPN, FOX, MLB Network, and The Roku Channel will also televise a handful of Mariners games.
Out-of-market fans who want to watch regional broadcasts this year will need MLB.TV or MLB EXTRA INNINGS to do so.
Want radio coverage? The Mariners Radio Network offers listening options to fans in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia. Fans in those states and Montana can also listen to games on the Seattle Sports 710 AM app or the Seattle Sports website.

2025 Seattle Mariners playoffs TV schedule
After exorcising some two-decade-old demons, the Mariners are finally back in the American League Championship Series. They got here by winning a tough, five-game battle against the Tigers. That series saw Seattle claim its first home playoff victory since 2001.
