The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is here! The 2025 U.S. Open Tennis Championships kick off with a historic Sunday start on August 24 and run through the men’s final on Sunday, September 7. All eyes will be on the hard courts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens to see if defending singles champions Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka can repeat their magic. It’s two weeks of can’t-miss, high-stakes tennis.
If you can’t make it to New York to watch this year’s tournament, you can catch all matches on ABC and ESPN’s family of networks. My favorite service for U.S. Open coverage is Hulu + Live TV, but I’ll get more into TV providers, channels, and free ways to watch the U.S. Open below.
Which TV channels show U.S. Open tennis?
You can watch the U.S. Open Championships on ABC and several ESPN channels. ESPN+ will stream every match, while ESPN Deportes will air select matches with Spanish-language commentary.
Not to be forgotten: ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer product will have officially launched by the time the U.S. Open gets going in earnest. The new service covers every ESPN channel conceivable—a perfect choice to watch every serve, volley, and slice backhand.
2025 U.S. Open Tennis Championships TV schedule
The 2025 U.S. Open Championships offer two solid weeks of high-level tennis, highlighted by Americans such as Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Madison Keys.
Of course, international superstars like Aryna Sabalenka, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner will compete for the trophy as well.
Sabalenka and Sinner will be trying to defend their 2024 titles. But, as with every tournament, a Cinderella story could always emerge and make a surprising run. The full men’s and women’s entry lists are available for viewing if you’re interested.

Best TV providers for watching the U.S. Open
I love tennis. And if you’re like me, you’ll wanna make sure you can watch as much of every match as possible. In my opinion, there are two really good ways to do that.
The first is a robust live TV streaming service like Hulu + Live TV. It’ll give you access to ABC and several ESPN channels. The best part? It comes with ESPN+ for free.
The second is just straight up ESPN+ on its own because every U.S. Open match will stream there, including junior matches. But not all coverage will feature live commentary or stats.

Hulu + Live TV ($81.99–$95.99/mo.)
Hulu + Live TV is great for more than just the U.S. Open. Its live TV package also gives sports fans access to the local and premium channels needed to watch the NFL, MLB, and NBA. You’ll just wanna get its Sports Add-on for $9.99 a month if you want expanded tennis coverage via Tennis Channel.
And if you need a break from sports, my favorite feature is the service’s vast on-demand library of films and TV shows. So if you want to unwind after watching Alcaraz win a tight five-setter, you can fire up The Bear right after. On second thought, maybe the intense kitchen chaos of that show isn’t the best way to relax.

ESPN+ ($11.99/mo.)
ESPN+ is perfect for the hardcore tennis fan. In addition to the U.S. Open, the service has media deals with Wimbledon and the Australian Open. So when those tournaments come around, you’ll be more than covered.
ESPN+ is a service that (unsurprisingly) only offers sports content, but boy, does it do it well. The streamer has all sorts of live sports, original documentaries, and the entire 30 for 30 library, just to highlight a few things.
