The NFL season is officially over, which means that the NFL playoffs are finally here. We’ll see multiple clashes from the NFL’s best teams across the AFC and NFC, and one Wild Card Weekend matchup will head to a new home: For most viewers, Peacock will be the exclusive home for this weekend’s Wild Card matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins.
Here’s what you need to know about watching the NFL Playoffs and Chiefs-Dolphins on Peacock.
Peacock NFL schedule 2024
Week | Game | Date | Time (ET) | Channels |
---|---|---|---|---|
Week 18 | Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins | Sunday, January 7 | 7:00 p.m. | Peacock/NBC |
Wild Card Game | Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans | Saturday, January 13 | 4:30 p.m. | Peacock/NBC |
Wild Card Game | Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs | Saturday, January 13 | 8:00 p.m. | Peacock |
Wild Card Game | Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions | Sunday, January 14 | 8:00 p.m. | Peacock/NBC |
Peacock has simulcast every NBC NFL game this season, but for Wild Card Weekend, they’ll get Chiefs-Dolphins (mostly) exclusively to themselves. The Dolphins sputtered at the end of the season with a two-game losing streak and have to navigate a spate of defensive injuries, but with playmakers like De’Von Achane and Tyreek Hill, they’re still one of the most dangerous offenses in the league. As for the Chiefs, their pass-catching struggles have been well-documented this season, but Patrick Mahomes’ playoffs record also speaks for itself.
Why the NFL Wild Card Game is exclusively on Peacock
Peacock has regularly placed football matchups and other sports behind its paywall. During the college football season, Ohio State, Iowa, and Notre Dame were among the teams that had Peacock-exclusive matchups.
Peacock is one of our favorite mid-major streaming services—it’s home to The Office and streaming originals like Poker Face—so we recommend it if you want to add another streamer to your rotation. But if you’re only looking for NFL Wild Card access, we understand if you’re a little peeved.
