As the streaming home for all NBC Sunday Night Football broadcasts, Peacock is an excellent option for tuning in. Of course, any TV plan with NBC will get you those same SNF games. But Peacock brings a little extra value this season by way of expanded postgame coverage and an exclusive game.

The Peacock Holiday Exclusive marks the fourth time the streaming service will offer an exclusive NFL matchup. While we don’t know the participating teams, you can expect that game to kick off in Week 17 on Saturday, December 27.

NFL matchups to watch on Peacock in 2025–2026

Peacock will simulcast every NFL on NBC game during the 2025–2026 season, and it’ll also be home to some of the year’s biggest matchups. If your TV doesn’t get NBC or you don’t have an over-the-air antenna, you can still tune in with a Peacock subscription.

One of the first games to be ready for is Week 6, Sunday, October 12, between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions. The Chiefs played in but lost Super Bowl LIX. The Lions won the NFC North last year. Both teams went 15–2, tying for the best record in the NFL.

Then there’s the matchup during Week 11 on Sunday, November 9, between the Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles, who won Super Bowl LIX. If you’re wondering, “Do I really have to watch the Lions twice?” The answer is yes, because they were that good last year, and will likely be that good this year. Plus, the Chiefs and Eagles play high-level football, too, so why not watch the best of the best?

Pro tip: Peacock will simulcast every NBC regular-season NFL game this year. Check out our full Sunday Night Football guide to learn more about watching NFL games on Peacock.

How to watch NFL on Peacock for free

We’ve got some good news for NFL fans who want to watch games for free. If you live in the city where your favorite teams play, you won’t need Peacock because it’ll air for free on your local NBC station. While it’ll be harder to find a good Peacock deal if you’re outside of those local markets, it’s not impossible to snag some savings. If you’re a qualifying Xfinity customer who meets the following criteria, you can get free Peacock with your internet or streaming subscription:
