Hockey in Utah? That’s what many players, fans, and Beehive State residents asked themselves when the National Hockey League (NHL) added a new team in the Mountain West part of the United States. However, it didn’t take long for that initial surprise to quickly turn into excitement.
Six months after the team became official, Utah won the first game in franchise history to start the 2024 campaign. That win led to 37 more during a very successful debut season. Now the team takes the ice for year two with something new to cheer about—an official nickname: the Mammoth.
I love the nickname, and I think we’ll all enjoy the hockey the team plays this year. Here’s how you can watch the Utah Mammoth from the start of the preseason through the end of the regular season and playoffs!

Fans outside of the Mammoth’s TV territory can watch games on ESPN+ (streaming) or with NHL Center Ice (cable/satellite).
2025–2026 Utah Mammoth TV schedule
The 2025 Utah Mammoth schedule is here, and it promises excitement from start to finish. If the Mammoth can build on what was a successful first season, they’ll have a shot to secure the first postseason appearance in franchise history.
As someone who calls Utah home, I’m hoping they can get the job done for the state. Check out the team’s full TV schedule below, complete with dates and start times for the upcoming 82-game season.

Best TV plans for watching the Utah Mammoth
Since arriving in Utah in 2024, the passion for the Mammoth has only increased. I’ve seen it firsthand, which is why I expect attendance to be up this season and more eyes to be watching on TV.
If you’re like me and want to watch every game, a great TV setup is key. Here are the best viewing options to keep you in the action (and out of that I-15 traffic) on game day.

Mammoth+ ($14.99/mo.)
Local fans can watch more than 75 Utah games this season with Mammoth+ (formerly UtahHC+), the team’s exclusive direct-to-consumer (DTC) package. The service offers live and on-demand games, except for matchups that air on national channels.
With the annual plan coming in at $69.99, you’re paying less than a dollar per game. I don’t think you can ask for more value than that! Fans can also choose a monthly subscription to watch games, but it isn’t as budget-friendly as the yearly option.
If you also follow the Utah Jazz, you can opt for an annual SEG+ plan. The pricier subscription bundles Mammoth+ with Jazz+, giving you all in-market games for both teams in a single package.

Stream with DIRECTV ($89.99–$169.99/mo.)
For any fan seeking the most complete, all-in-one Utah Mammoth TV package, my top recommendation is DIRECTV. It includes every national and local channel you need to watch the Mammoth this season. You’ll even get the new ESPN Unlimited package, which gives you full access to ESPN+ (via the ESPN app) for all of its exclusive games and out-of-market coverage.
The only downside is the price. If you want NHL Network in your channel lineup, you’ll need DIRECTV’s ULTIMATE plan—one of its more expensive options. But if you’re willing to sacrifice that channel, DIRECTV becomes much more affordable.

You can watch almost the entire Utah Mammoth regular season for free with an over-the-air (OTA) antenna—if you live in the team’s TV territory. More than 75 games are set to air locally on KUPX-TV (channel 16).
To find out if an OTA antenna is right for you, follow these two quick and simple steps.
- View the FCC’s Reception Map Tool to see if KUPX-TV is available in your area.
