Providers are offering up tons of free streaming services
Streaming services (along with everything else, it seems) just keep going up, up, up in price. In the past month alone, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select (previously ESPN+), MGM+, Apple TV, and HBO Max have all announced price hikes.
Internet and TV providers know that increasing streaming fatigue is hitting consumers, and plenty of them are latching onto this growing annoyance by offering included streaming services with their own internet and traditional TV plans.
Read on to find out which providers are offering up what services, and how to get the best bang for your buck without missing out on your fave TV shows.
Spectrum has the best free streaming service deals
Plenty of traditional telco providers are including streaming services with the purchase of an internet and/or TV plan, but none of ‘em are doing it as well as Spectrum is.
When you sign up for Spectrum’s base cable TV plan, TV Select Signature, you’ll also get the following streaming services included at no additional cost: Disney+ Basic, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, FOX One, HBO Max with Ads, ViX Premium with Ads, Peacock Premium, AMC+, and Paramount+ Essential. Upgrade to TV Select Plus, and they’ll also throw in the Tennis Channel for you.
Phew. That’s significantly more than any other provider, with the added perk of those services being included indefinitely—not for a limited time.
Although Spectrum rules supreme in the streaming freebie world, they’re not the only one with deals:
- DIRECTV: HBO Max, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, MGM+, CINEMAX, STARZ included for 3 mos.
- DISH: Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and STARZ included for 3 mos.
- Optimum: Disney+, Hulu Bundle Basic included for 6 mos. with Optimum Internet 500 and higher plans (exp. 11/9)
- T-Mobile internet: Hulu (With Ads) and the Paramount+ Essential Plan included with T-Mobile All-In Internet
- T-Mobile wireless: Netflix Standard with ads included with T-Mobile’s Experience plans
- Verizon internet: Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN Select (With Ads) included for 12 mos. with Verizon Fios 1 Gig, Fios 2 Gig, 5G Home Ultimate, and LTE Home Plus plans (exp. 11/5)
Some things never change…
While some providers tend to switch out deals on the reg, others like to keep things more stable (which I appreciate, seeing as I personally update all 20+ of our deals pages each month😅).
Here are some of the best perpetual deals from top TV and internet providers:
- Amazon Prime Video: 30-day free trial
- DIRECTV: HBO Max, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, MGM+, CINEMAX, STARZ included for 3 mos.
- DISH: Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, STARZ, and DISH Movie Pack included for 3 mos.
- Hulu: 30-day free trial
- Verizon: Up to $200 in gift cards with Verizon’s Fios TV plans
- Xfinity: Get an Unlimited line included for a year with a 300 Mbps or faster Xfinity Internet plan
