What is the 2023 Disney Parks Magical Christmas Parade?
ABC filmed two annual holiday specials, The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration and the 40th annual Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, live at the Walt Disney World Resort. The former aired on Thanksgiving weekend, while the Christmas parade airs on ABC on Monday, December 25 at 10 a.m. Eastern, then streams next-day on Hulu and Disney+.
“Wonderful World” hosts Derek and Julianne Hough also host the Magical Christmas Parade, with support from two co-hosts, country singer Mickey Guyton and The Bachelor/The Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer.
In addition to appearances from iconic Disney characters, the two-hour program features performances from the Houghs, Chrissy Metz (This Is Us), Iam Tongi (American Idol), Meg Donnelly (The Winchesters), the Broadway and North American touring casts of Disney’s Aladdin, and The Smashing Pumpkins (performing a new original holiday tune, “Evergreen”).
