Best DISH internet plans

Compare DISH internet head to head

Our picks for the best DISH internet plans share a few things: low prices, fast internet speeds, and no contract restrictions. All three of our top ISPs don’t have TV plans, so you can keep DISH without worrying about your DISH contract.

With CenturyLink, you’ll get stellar download and upload speeds for less than $70 monthly. AT&T’s fiber internet plans offer top-in-class performance with speeds that top out at 5,000Mbps. And if budget and no-installation flexibility are your biggest concerns, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet is 100% wireless and offers excellent rates.

Best DISH internet plans in depth

DISH’s great TV offerings deserve an equally great internet plan. Here’s what you need to know about our top DISH internet picks to pair with your service.

Editor’s choice award—CenturyLink

Price:
$50.00–$75.00/mo.
Download speed:
100–940 Mbps
Upload speed:
Up to 940Mbps
  • Low monthly pricing
  • Excellent download speeds
  • Aging DSL network
  • Middling customer service

There are several reasons why CenturyLink earned our top DISH internet bundle pick. Like with most fiber ISPs, you’ll get excellent download and upload speeds on CenturyLink and unlimited data. Best of all, you won’t have to deal with contracts or annual price increases on CenturyLink—you’ll pay the same monthly price for internet without bundling additional services.

That said, CenturyLink also has the same downsides as other fiber providers. CenturyLink’s network is split between its high-end fiber and low-end DSL network. You must settle for average prices and slow internet speeds if your address gets only CenturyLink DSL. CenturyLink also placed near the middle of the pack in our annual internet customer satisfaction survey.

DISH America’s Top 120+ $97.99/mo.* 190+ channels View plan
CenturyLink Fiber Internet 500 Mbps $50.00/mo. 500Mbps download speeds View plan

*All offers require credit qualification, 2-year commitment with early termination fee and eAutoPay. Prices include Hopper Duo for qualifying customers.

Fastest—AT&T

Price:
$55.00–$250.00/mo.
Download speed:
75–5,000 Mbps
Upload speed:
Up to 5,000Mbps
  • Transfer speeds up to 5,000Mbps
  • Excellent customer satisfaction
  • Average prices for a fiber ISP
  • Limited fiber availability

Need speed? AT&T’s fiber internet plans offer upload and download speeds up to 5,000Mbps, so you won’t have performance problems if you’re downloading video games or watching 4K movies. AT&T also had a great third-place ranking in our customer satisfaction survey thanks to its quick response times and network of retail stores.

AT&T’s fiber pricing is slightly behind its competitors, as its plans start at $55 monthly for 300Mbps speeds. By comparison, CenturyLink has a $30 monthly plan in some regions, while Optimum’s plans start at $40 monthly.

And as with CenturyLink and other fiber ISPs, AT&T doesn’t have nationwide fiber coverage. If AT&T hasn’t reached your neighborhood yet, you’ll have to settle for its slower DSL plans.

Best DISH and AT&T internet bundle

AT&T Internet 500 $65.00/mo.** 500Mbps download speeds

Best value—T-Mobile 5G Home Internet

Price:
$40.00–$60.00/mo.
Download speed:
72-245 Mbps
Upload speed:
15-31 Mbps
  • Stellar pricing and bundle discounts
  • Contract-free service
  • Spotty availability
  • No high-end speed options

Like other home 5G plans, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet uses the carrier’s mobile data network—instead of physical cables—to get your home online. T-Mobile 5G Home Internet’s a great alternative if your home doesn’t have standard internet hookups.

At a flat $60 monthly, T-Mobile’s pricing aligns with comparable ISPs. If you bundle internet with a qualifying T-Mobile cell phone plan, you can drop your internet bill to only $40 per month. You won’t have to deal with contracts or annual price increases on T-Mobile.

With download speeds that top out at around 245Mbps, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet will be fine for most households. You’ll run into problems if you regularly download large files and gaming, but it’ll be more than enough for basic browsing and streaming.

However, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet’s availability is its biggest hitch. T-Mobile’s rolled out the service only on a city-by-city basis, so you’ll be out of luck if you’re not near a major or mid-sized city with coverage.

Other top providers

Are you searching for an internet plan to pair with your DISH TV service? These providers didn’t check off as many boxes as our top picks, but they can still be great options to complete your DISH internet bundle.

Frontier

Price:
$44.99–$129.99/mo.
Download speed:
500–5,000 Mbps
Upload speed:
5,000Mbps
  • Unlimited data
  • Great pricing
  • Limited availability
  • No flat-rate pricing

Frontier’s no longer DISH’s main internet partner, and you cannot bundle the ISP’s plans with DISH anymore. But that doesn’t mean that you still can’t choose a Frontier plan to go along with your DISH package.

Frontier’s fiber pricing is great and in line with CenturyLink—it starts at $44.99 monthly for 500Mbps speeds and includes standard features like unlimited data. But Frontier’s fiber footprint is spotty, and the ISP doesn’t offer flat-rate pricing, although you will get lengthy multi-year price guarantees.

Xfinity

Price:
$19.99–$85.00/mo.
Download speed:
75–6,000 Mbps
Upload speed:
6,000Mbps
  • Nationwide availability
  • Fast speeds
  • Regional contract rules
  • Slow upload speeds

If you’re near a major or mid-sized city, you’ll likely be able to get Xfinity internet service. Unlike ISPs like CenturyLink and AT&T, Xfinity’s cable internet speeds are consistent across its network—you won’t have to settle for worse internet like a DSL plan if you don’t live in the right area.

But Xfinity’s regional pricing model causes some unnecessary headaches. If you’re on one side of the country, you might get contract-free internet service, but if you’re in another area, you’ll have to lock in with Xfinity for a year. Plus, Xfinity’s upload speeds are dismal for a cable provider. With speeds between 5Mbps and 15Mbps on its non-premium plans, you’ll run into problems if more than a few people need to take Zoom calls.

What to look for

Getting the best DISH internet service

Shopping for internet service generally comes down to three things: internet providers in your area, your budget, and your speed requirements. 100Mbps plans will generally be enough for a small home, but if you’re a heavy gamer or have a large family, you’ll want a plan with speeds of more than 300Mbps.

Check out our internet speed guide for more shopping tips.

Shop locally with regional ISPs

Do you live in a smaller or rural town without major ISP coverage? It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re out of options for internet service. Regional ISPs like MetroNet and Vyve Broadband offer great internet service without the name-brand recognition.

If you’re farther off the grid or don’t want to run cable to your home, we’d recommend wireless and satellite internet options like T-Mobile or Viasat. Both providers offer fully wireless internet service and usable download speeds.

DISH Network internet deals

Unfortunately, DISH doesn’t offer any discounts for bundling their services. But that doesn’t mean you won’t get any cool stuff when you sign up with them. Check out our monthly updates on our internet deals page to see if the big ISPs have anything snazzy for you right now.
