How To Watch the 2025–2026 Miami Heat Season

Are you ready, Heat Nation? Our viewing guide outlines how to watch every Miami Heat game this season.

The Miami Heat had a mediocre season after trading Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors. They got past the play-in tournament, but got bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

I’m not sure what to make of the Heat heading into 2025–26. They’re still led by Erik Spoelstra, one of the best coaches in the NBA over the last decade-plus. And they traded for Norman Powell, who was very productive for the L.A. Clippers last season.

Miami his projected to win less than 40 games this season, but that could be an underestimation because the Eastern Conference is weaker. So, who knows how the Heat will fare.

Luckily, the uncertainty for the Heat is what will make watching them this season all the more compelling. I know I’ll be keeping tabs, and I’ve put together this watch guide so you can follow along, too.

What channels have Miami Heat games?

You can watch most Miami Heat games in 2025–2026 on FanDuel Sports Network Sun (FDSSUN) if you live in the market, and NBA League Pass if you don’t.

This season, the Heat have very few games on national TV. But when they are, you can see them on ESPN, NBC, Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video.

Don’t forget: If you live in the region of another NBA team, you can watch the Heat on your local NBA team’s TV affiliate when the two sides face off.

Pro tip: AM 560 Sports WQAM has English-language radio coverage of every Heat game, while Radio Mambi 710 AM carries live Spanish-language commentary. Alternatively, NBA League Pass Audio ($9.99 per season) is available in select areas for complete NBA radio coverage.

Miami Heat 2025-2026 TV schedule

The Miami Heat are looking to avoid the play-in this season and finish in the top six of the Eastern Conference. But their schedule could make that difficult for them, especially before the All-Star break.

The Heat start with six of their first eight games on the road, mostly against teams that made the playoffs last season and got better this season (i.e. the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers). Before the end of the calendar year, there’s a nice home stretch, but Miami will play the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Things ease up a bit in mid-January with a five-game road trip against mostly losing teams like the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers. But those can be trap games.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there really aren’t many ways to watch the Miami Heat for free in 2025–2026. They have one game on NBC this season—January 6 against the Minnesota Timberwolves—which you can access via an over-the-air (OTA) antenna.

For the at least two games streaming on Amazon Prime Video, you can get a free trial, but it won’t cover both of those games because one is in November, and the other in February.

Beyond using an OTA antenna, you can also try free live TV streaming trials. DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, and FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally Sports+) all offer free trials. We prefer DIRECTV STREAM because it carries every national NBA channel, including ESPN. It even has FanDuel Sports Network Sun in its CHOICE™ plan and above for those who live in Florida.
