How To Watch the 2025–2026 Brooklyn Nets Season

The Nets have been rebuilding since the KD, Kyrie, and Harden experiment. Check out our updated TV guide to see if Brooklyn can bounce back this season!

The Brooklyn Nets have spent the last few seasons walking off the hangover from the biggest “what if” in recent NBA history. The superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden was supposed to bring rings, and yet all it delivered was one playoff series win and a full-on roster reset.

But 2025 feels different. Brooklyn isn’t trying to sell you on a big three anymore. They’re betting on something less flashy but far more stable: development, depth, and smart front office moves.

They’ve stocked up on first-round picks, added intriguing pieces like Terance Mann, and re-signed core contributors like Day’Ron Sharpe while still leaving the door open for Cam Thomas to shine—or get flipped. Don’t call it a comeback (yet), but the Nets are finally starting to look like a team with direction. And that makes them one of the more compelling squads to watch this season.

What channels have Brooklyn Nets games?

The Brooklyn Nets’ 2025–2026 season will be broadcast across a new and expanded mix of local, national, and streaming channels/platforms.

  • Locally: Fans in the New York area can watch most Nets games on YES Network and The Gotham Sports App.
  • Nationally: Nets broadcasts will air nationwide on ABC and ESPN, with NBC’s new Sunday Night Basketball and regional broadcasts also offering select matchups.
  • Streaming: For exclusive streaming games, you’ll need Amazon Prime Video for Thursday and Friday matchups, as well as the NBA Cup and NBA Play-In Tournament. Meanwhile, Peacock will carry Monday night NBA games and all games that air on NBC.

For fans outside the New York market, NBA League Pass remains the best option for watching out-of-market games not nationally televised, though blackout rules still apply.

Want radio coverage? The Brooklyn Nets games are broadcast live on WFAN 660 AM and 101.9 FM in New York. Chris Carrino and Tim Capstraw handle the play-by-play and commentary. You can also stream games without blackouts via NBA League Pass Audio for $9.99.

Best TV plans for watching the Brooklyn Nets

Thanks to the NBA’s newly expanded media rights deal, the best TV option to stay locked in must have a combo of regional and national access. Of course, that all depends on where you’re tuning in from.

Stream with DIRECTV and Fubo are my top picks for Nets fans because they both include YES Network for local broadcasts and cover the major national NBA channels like ESPN, NBC, and NBA TV. YouTube TV is often my go-to for NBA coverage, but the platform dropped YES Network in 2020 due to a contract dispute. Fortunately, DIRECTV and Fubo offer unlimited DVR storage and the option to add NBA League Pass for out-of-market coverage.

No matter which service you choose, you’ll still need Amazon Prime Video and Peacock for their streaming exclusives.

Standalone in-market TV package for Nets games

For in-market fans, the Gotham Sports App is the best option you have at your disposal. At $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year, it offers direct access to YES Network, so it’s the standalone option for watching Brooklyn Nets games without a traditional cable subscription. The app is available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and most web browsers, so fans have flexibility across devices.

The Gotham Sports App consolidates content from both YES Network and MSG Networks, streamlining the viewing experience for fans of multiple New York teams. Subscribers get access to live games, enhanced stats, loyalty rewards, and interactive features—all in one place.

How to watch the Brooklyn Nets for free

Watching Brooklyn Nets games without spending a dime is possible if you take advantage of free trial offers and over-the-air access. Start with free trials from streaming platforms like DIRECTV, Fubo, and YouTube TV since each offers access to national broadcasters. These trials typically last from three to seven days, giving fans a solid shot to catch high-interest games at no cost.

If you’re located in the New York metro area, you might also be able to watch select games on ABC and NBC using a digital antenna, especially as the NBA’s new deal adds more free-to-air broadcasts. And don’t forget the NBA App, which sometimes features complimentary game streams and radio coverage for national matchups. Just double-check blackout rules because they might affect real-time access.
