How To Watch the Portland Trail Blazers: 2025–2026 Season TV Guide

Dame is back home, and the Portland Trail Blazers are officially in rebuild mode. Check out our comprehensive TV guide so you don’t miss any of the action!

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say the 2024–2025 NBA season threw me for a loop. After Damian Lillard suffered a catastrophic, season-ending injury in Milwaukee, the league dropped a bombshell this summer. Dame decided to come home to Portland as he continues to rehab his torn Achilles.

The other surprise? The Celtics traded Jrue Holiday back to the Trail Blazers. With two dynamic point guards, some scrappy defenders, and a ton of sharpshooting, this team has a recipe for success. But as we all know, we’ll have to wait and see if the pieces actually come together.

While we won’t see Dame on the court this year, I’m excited to see this new-look team try to reshape its identity. To help you watch the Portland Trail Blazers through this fascinating season, I’ve created this complete guide to their TV schedule and viewing options.

What channels have Portland Trail Blazers games?

You can watch most in-market Trail Blazers broadcasts for free on the Rip City Television Network, a collection of over-the-air channels led by KUNP in Portland. For local cord-cutters, the team also offers BlazerVision, a direct-to-consumer streaming service that carries all the same games.

This season, select Trail Blazers games will appear exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, NBC, and Pecock. You’ll also want ABC, ESPN, and NBA TV in our arsenal for other nationally televised NBA games.

Meanwhile, NBA League Pass remains the best way to follow the Blazers if you’re outside Oregon and Washington. It’ll carry those Rip City TV Network games for out-of-market fans.

Want radio coverage? The official radio home of the Trail Blazers is Rip City Radio 620 AM. You can listen on the radio in the Portland area or stream games from anywhere using the iHeartRadio app.

2025–2026 Portland Trail Blazers TV schedule

Regardless of whether it’ll be quite some time before we see the Trail Blazers thriving, Portland’s 2025–2026 season is worth a watch. Point guard Scoot Henderson is expected to take on a bigger role, though a hamstring injury could sideline him for several weeks.

Matchups carry an extra charge this year, too. Be on the lookout for Anfernee Simons’ return to Rip City in a Celtics uniform, and games where Portland’s youth challenges veteran-led squads. The Blazers will test themselves against Western Conference powerhouses like Denver, OKC, and the Clippers.

You can expect more national exposure than in past seasons, thanks to roster changes and the rising star power of Holiday and Henderson. Whether you’re tuning in locally or from afar, I can tell you there are plenty of games worth marking ahead. Check out the full Portland Trail Blazers TV schedule below.

Best TV plans for watching the Portland Trail Blazers

The best part about being a local Trail Blazers fan is that most games are free to watch on TV. That all depends on whether your antenna can pick up Rip City TV Network affiliates in your area. Fortunately, the network’s flagship channel, KUNP, and other KATU affiliates are widely available across Oregon and Washington.

If you want full coverage this season, you’ll still need a way to watch the national games. My top recommendation for a complete TV package is Stream with DIRECTV. It’s one of the few live TV streaming services that carries local Rip City TV Network affiliates and key national channels. Just remember, you’ll still need separate subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video and Pecock for their exclusive games.

Of course, out-of-market fans will still need NBA League Pass. DIRECTV’s streaming service no longer offers it as an add-on, but you can still get a standalone subscription online.

Standalone in-market TV package for Blazers games

For fans in Oregon and Washington, BlazerVision is a streaming subscription that carries every Rip City TV Network game. It costs $120 per season and delivers live broadcasts, replays, and behind-the-scenes content directly through the NBA app or NBA.com.

Compatible with iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and most smart TVs, BlazerVision is a really straightforward service. But I like it for its clean, team-first approach. It’s ideal for local fans who want full-season access without committing to an expensive live TV service.

How to watch the Trail Blazers for free

There are a few clever ways to follow the Trail Blazers without committing to a full-season TV package. For local broadcasts, Portland games now appear on the Rip City Television Network, accessible with a digital antenna. Last season, the team even gave away 5,000 antennas to help local fans tune in over the air.

That simple antenna can also pick up any nationally televised NBA game airing on your local ABC and NBC stations. And thanks to the league’s new media deal, there’ll be plenty of games on both channels.

Additionally, you can take advantage of free trials from streaming services like DIRECTV and Fubo. Both services let you catch nationally televised games for around five days before billing kicks in.

How to watch the Portland Trail Blazers FAQ

What channel is Rip City Television Network?

Rip City Television is an affiliate network of over-the-air channels available in Oregon and Washington. It carries the majority of Blazers regular-season games not picked up by national outlets. Fans can tune in for free with a digital antenna or watch through select live TV services.

How often will the Trail Blazers be on national TV?

Portland doesn’t draw as many national games as larger markets. During the 2025–2026 season, at least eight Trail Blazers games will air nationally across Amazon Prime Video, NBC, and Peacock.

How can I watch out-of-market Blazers games?

NBA League Pass remains the top choice for out-of-market fans. It covers Blazers games not shown on national TV, with replays available when blackout rules block live broadcasts. Combined with Amazon Prime Video and Peacock for exclusive nights, League Pass offers the most complete viewing experience.

Can I watch the Blazers without cable?

Yes, you can watch the Trail Blazers without a cable subscription, even if your local provider is Spectrum or Xfinity. DIRECTV and Fubo stream all in-market broadcasts, as does the standalone BlazerVision service. You can also stream select games on Prime Video and Peacock.

Did the Trail Blazers really give away free antennas?

Yes. In 2024, the team distributed 5,000 digital antennas to local fans to help them watch games on the new Rip City Television Network. The move was part of Portland’s push to make broadcasts more accessible after shifting away from regional cable exclusivity.
