After years of chasing a “superteam” formula, the Suns are tearing it up and starting fresh. This summer, Kevin Durant was traded to the Rockets in a massive seven-team deal that brought back rising guard Jalen Green and gritty wing Dillon Brooks. The Suns cleared up even more cap space by buying out the contract of Bradley Beal.
With a new voice on the sideline, head coach Jordan Ott is shifting the Suns’ culture toward younger, more energetic basketball. Devin Booker remains the star anchor, having signed a contract extension, and will carry much of the leadership burden. Surrounding him are pillars like Brooks (for toughness), Grayson Allen (for shooting off the bench), and up‐and-comers like Ryan Dunn.
The big question is whether this retooled squad can build chemistry fast and stay healthy. To help you watch the Phoenix Suns through this fascinating new chapter, I’ve created this complete guide to their TV schedule and top viewing options.

What channels have Phoenix Suns games?
If you’re in Arizona, most Phoenix Suns games air on the team’s local broadcast partners, Arizona’s Family (3TV, CBS 5) and Arizona’s Family Sports (AZFS). For local cord-cutters, those same games are also available to stream through a Suns+ subscription.
Nationally televised NBA games appear on ESPN, ABC, and NBC, with additional matchups streamed exclusively on Peacock and Amazon Prime Video. And of course, you’ll need NBA League Pass to watch those Arizona’s Family broadcasts if you’re outside Arizona.
2025–2026 Phoenix Suns TV schedule
This season will feel very different at the Suns’ home court. With the departure of Durant and Beal, expectations are modest but not low. The Suns want to be competitive, not rebuilding forever. They made it to the Finals four years ago and have barely done anything since. But there’s always hope that they’ll figure it out.
Games to watch include home matchups against Western powerhouses and nights when Dillon Brooks’s energy is tested against tough Eastern squads. You’ll also want to watch for stretches where young talent, like rookie Khaman Maluach, can pick up big minutes. Keep an eye on bench players like Royce O’Neale and Ryan Dunn, too, as their contributions could swing a few close games.
Fans should anticipate more nationally televised games this year, which is unavoidable given the roster shakeups and Devin Booker’s star power. Whether you’re watching from the Valley or from out of state, there’ll be plenty of nights worth tuning in.
Here’s the full Suns TV schedule below, which I’ll keep updated with the latest game times and channel listings.

Best TV plans for watching the Phoenix Suns games
Watching the Phoenix Suns requires a bit of strategy. With games airing on a mix of local affiliates and national networks, the best plan for you really depends on where you live and how much of the season you want to follow. To help you choose, I’ll break down two of my favorite viewing options.
Before I do that, it’s important to remember that no single TV service covers every game. You’ll still need subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video and Peacock for their exclusive matchups. For out-of-market fans, NBA League Pass is a must-have, and you can conveniently get that through Prime Video as a separate add-on.

Suns+ ($14.99/mo.)
For in-market Phoenix Suns fans, Suns+ is a perfect streaming option—especially if you don’t have great antenna reception or want to avoid a big live TV subscription. The service costs $14.99 a month and provides live and on-demand access to all locally televised games. It’s a straightforward and cost-effective way to follow the team.
What I find most appealing about Suns+ is its convenience. You can access your subscription through either the NBA app or the Suns+ app, both of which are available on all major streaming devices. This makes it incredibly easy to catch games, whether you’re at home or on the go.

Stream with DIRECTV ($84.99–$164.99/mo.)
If you’re looking for a single, all-in-one service to watch the Suns, my top recommendation is DIRECTV. All of its base packages include your local Arizona’s Family channels for most Suns games, so you don’t need to worry about an antenna. You’ll also get all the key national networks, like ESPN and NBC, for those primetime matchups.
I’m a huge fan of DIRECTV for its in-app user experience. You get unlimited cloud DVR storage and a great, sports-focused interface that lets you follow your favorite teams. It’s a fantastic, premium package for any serious Arizona sports fan.
How to watch the Phoenix Suns for free
†CableTV.com utilizes paid Amazon links. Amazon.com Price; $46.99 (as of 7/25/25 11:20 a.m. CT). Read full disclaimer.
For Suns fans in Arizona, the best way to watch for free is with a basic digital antenna. Because most in-market games now appear on over-the-air Arizona’s Family channels like 3TV (ch. 3) and Arizona’s Family Sports (ch. 4), you can catch the majority of the season at no cost. It’s a simple one-time purchase that pays off all season long.
Also, live TV streaming services like Fubo or YouTube TV often have trial periods that can serve as a short-term pass to catch nationally aired games. Just be sure to time your sign-up to coincide with a key matchup to make the most of it.
How to watch the Phoenix Suns FAQ
How can I watch Suns games locally in Arizona?
Most non-national Suns games air on Arizona’s Family Sports Network, available over the air via KPHE (ch. 44), KTVK (ch. 3), and KPHO (ch. 5) in Phoenix. These broadcasts are free with a digital antenna, but you can also stream them with a Suns+ subscription.
Do I need multiple services to watch every Suns game?
Yes. While local games are covered by Arizona’s Family Sports Network, nationally televised matchups appear on ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. A combo of local access plus national streaming platforms is needed for full-season coverage.
Why is the Phoenix Suns game blacked out?
A Suns game is typically blacked out on a service like NBA League Pass for one of two reasons. The first is a local blackout, which happens when the game is airing on an in-market channel like Arizona’s Family (3TV). The second is a national blackout, which occurs when the game is exclusively broadcast on a network/service like ESPN or Peacock.
Why was Kevin Durant traded?
The Durant, Booker, and Beal experiment didn’t work out, so it was time to part ways and try something new for the success of the team. The Suns shipped Durant in a multi-team deal to rebuild around Booker. In return, they got Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Khaman Maluach, and additional draft assets.
Have the Suns ever won a championship?
No. The Suns have reached the NBA Finals three times—in 1976, 1993, and 2021—but they’ve never won the title. Their closest run came in 1993 against the Bulls and in 2021 when they lost to the Bucks in six games.
