How To Watch NBA Black Friday Games in 2025

NBA fans will get an extra treat the day after Thanksgiving with more than 10 games to choose from.

Thanksgiving is a holiday for turkey and football. But Black Friday, at least for me, is dedicated to watching exciting NBA action while kicking back with some tasty leftovers.

Luckily, there are plenty of NBA games to choose from the day after Thanksgiving. So if you’ve already done your shopping for Black Friday deals and are wondering how to get your basketball on, you’ve come to the right place.

In this guide, I’ll help you figure out what NBA games are airing on Black Friday and how to watch them.

What channels have NBA Black Friday games?

Nine of the 11 NBA games on Black Friday will air on local channels or regional sports networks. The remaining two will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Pro tip: Out-of-market fans can access non-national NBA games with NBA League Pass.

2025 NBA Black Friday TV schedule

More than two-thirds of the NBA is playing the day after Thanksgiving. So grab some leftover turkey, make yourself a heaping sandwich, and settle in to a night full of basketball.

Check out the full NBA on Black Friday schedule below. I’ve got the Lakers-Mavericks game circled on my calendar because I expect Luka Doncic to go crazy on his former team. The game between the Nuggets and the Spurs should also be an absolute doozy.

Best TV plans for watching NBA Black Friday games

Three options exist for fans who want to watch NBA games on Black Friday—the local way, the national way, and the out-of-market way. I detail which services you’ll need for each scenario below.

And remember: You can always combine these services in whichever way you want to watch as many NBA games as possible.

The DIRECTV logo on a blue background.

DIRECTV ($89.99–$169.99/mo.)

Local NBA fans will be best served by signing up for DIRECTV satellite service or Stream with DIRECTV. It comes with the largest number of regional sports networks of any TV service out there, with Fubo being a close second.

Most NBA games on Black Friday are on an RSN, and many of those are somewhere under the FanDuel Sports Network umbrella. Also, if you get the streaming version of DIRECTV, you can try it free for five days.

The Amazon Prime Video logo on a blue background.

Amazon Prime Video ($8.99–$17.98/mo.)

Two games will stream on Amazon Prime Video on Black Friday, and they’re considered marquee matchups. So if you consider yourself a hardcore NBA fan, you’ll want to make sure you have access to the streamer.

Prime Video also features a multitude of original movies and TV shows. And for NFL fans, Thursday Night Football streams exclusively on the platform, as does the Black Friday Game. It’s a robust hub of various types of entertainment that stretches far beyond the NBA on Black Friday.

The NBA League Pass logo on a charcoal background.

NBA League Pass ($16.99–$24.99/mo.)

For fans who live in different markets of their favorite teams, NBA League Pass is a move more clutch than Michael Jordan’s crossover that led to the game-winner against the Utah Jazz in the 1998 Finals.

Not only will you get to watch your team on Black Friday, but you can also watch replays of any other game you missed that day. League Pass is available as an add-on through Amazon Prime Video and DIRECTV.
